Farmers Rice Showcases at the LRA 2-Day Tradeshow in New Orleans

Farmers Rice Milling Co. is excited to participate in the Louisiana Restaurant Association (LRA) Expo for the first time, marking an exciting milestone in our journey. Our goal is to introduce Farmers Rice to the vibrant LA restaurant and chef community, showcasing our premium quality rice and building lasting relationships. Despite our century-long history, this event symbolizes a new chapter as we expand our footprint from bulk exports to domestic markets, offering our high-quality rice to the restaurants and retail sectors.

Booth Highlights and Activities

At the expo, Farmers Rice will have a booth featuring our diverse product offerings, including the introduction of our new retail pack. Visitors can enjoy taste testing, meet with our team to get questions answered, and get in on exciting giveaways. A special highlight will be our partnership with Louisiana local culinary creator, Brittany Khamille, known for her delicious recipes and her appearance on “Next Level Chef” with Gordon Ramsay. Chef Brittany will prepare a rice stuffing recipe live at the event, offering samples and later sharing the recipe on our social media accounts.

Chef Brittany: A Louisiana Native Culinary Star

Brittany is a 27-year-old mom, wife, and recipe content creator from Southwest Louisiana. With a deep passion for food that began at a young age, she has been posting recipes online for several years and has published two cookbooks. Growing up, Brittany’s parents taught her everything she knows about cooking, instilling in her a love for Cajun cuisine. She honors her Cajun heritage by educating the world about Louisiana’s diverse culture through food.

With a significant following across her platforms, Brittany has successfully brought the flavors of Louisiana to a wide audience – check out some of her recipes on Instagram @Brittany.khamille TikTok Brittany.Khamille or her page on Facebook! She spends most of her free time in the kitchen, teaching cooking classes at local libraries, and occasionally catering dinner parties for friends. Brittany’s connection to agriculture runs deep, having been active in FFA and working on a farm through her college years while earning a degree in agribusiness. She continues to support local produce and meat, including beef from her husband’s ranch.

Engaging with Local Restaurants

Currently, over 500 Gulf States restaurants incorporate Farmers Rice into their kitchens, from small mom-and-pop diners to major restaurant groups. This expo is an opportunity for us to connect with these establishments, as well as introduce our products to potential new clients. Attendees can visit our booth to learn more about Farmers Rice and how our premium products can enhance their menus.

Engaging with chefs and restaurant owners allows us to gather valuable feedback and insights into how our products are used in various culinary applications. By understanding their needs and preferences, we can continue to innovate and improve our offerings to better serve the restaurant industry.

While our social media presence is kicking off, we plan to leverage these platforms during and after the event.
